Day 1 - Domestic Flight, Hometown to Los Angeles
Your Home City flight to Los Angeles will be selected to suit the International Departure Flight to Australia

Please allow 3 hours between arrival of your US domestic flight and departure of your International flight.
Day 1 - International Flight, Los Angeles to Sydney
From USA to AustraliaAfter departing from Los Angeles, you will be provided with an evening meal, you can relax, have a drink, watch a movie and rest. You will be given Breakfast before landing in Sydney, Australia. (You lose one day crossing the International Date Line but don't worry you catch it up again on your return flight to the USA)

The Qantas Boeing 747-400 is equipped with the latest entertainment features of any Airline. The overnight flight to Australia can be a good opportunity for sleeping or to watch the latest movies after your evening meal.

This unique city tour through Sydney departs from Circular Quay every 20 minutes starting at 8:40am, with the last round-trip service departing at 5:20pm. You can get on or off at any of the stops on the route. After traveling through some of Sydney's most exclusive residential areas, the tours take in some of Sydney's most spectacular coastlines and beaches. The bus travels every day along a 30km route and makes numerous stops. The bus trip takes 2 hours to complete the whole journey (with no stops). Buy your tickets onboard ($39 AUD for Adult ticket). Travel through Katoomba, heart of the resort region within the Blue Mountains National Park and discover the remarkable beauty of Blue Mountains National Park, enjoy an easy walk or Visit Echo Point Lookout, see the Three Sisters and hear the ancient Aboriginal legends of this impressive rock formation, hear traditional Aboriginal Dreamtime tales interpreting the creation of local landmarks. Days 5 to 7 - Uluru Tour Pass
Tour Pass, Ayers Rock, AustraliaOn your vacation explore the fascinating surroundings of Australia's Red Centre.

This afternoon visit the Uluru-Kata Tjuta Cultural Centre and Maruku Arts and Craft Cooperative, dedicated to interpreting Anangu culture and law, as well as helping visitors learn about the cultural value of the region. Travel to the waterhole of Mutitjulu for a guided walk, viewing ancient cave paintings and learning about the Aboriginal legends of Kuniya Tjukurpa (Python Dreaming). Join the guided Mala Walk to learn the story of the Mala (Hare Wallaby) people who once lived at Uluru. See painted caves and learn of the region's geology and flora. As you tour the base of Uluru, visit Kantju Gorge, a waterhole and old hunting ground. Late in the day, watch the sunset over Uluru, admire the ever-changing colours of the monolith while the sun sinks below the horizon. Enjoy a complimentary glass of wine and canapes as the dusk deepens into night. Return to the Resort approximately 30 minutes after sunset.

The next morning, rise early and enter Uluru-Kata Tjuta National Park. Enjoy a complimentary cup of tea or coffee as you witness Uluru (Ayers Rock) at sunrise and see the desert come to life. With the sun still climbing the morning sky, travel to Kata Tjuta (Olgas); a stop is made to view the immense scale of this formation which dominates the western skyline of Uluru-Kata Tjuta National Park. This remarkable formation of 36 domes is thought to have once been a single rock many times the size of Uluru (Ayers Rock). On arrival at Kata Tjuta, join a guided walk into Walpa (Olga) Gorge. Marvel at the sheer walls that flank you as you enter the gorge. Learn of the domes' formation and of the wildlife of the region. Some of the plants you will see here are so rare that they are only found among these rocky domes. Return to your resort late morning with the rest of the day free.

Day 7 - Day Tour - Uluru to Alice Springs via Coach

Board the luxury coach early in the afternoon and travel east from Yulara via Curtin Springs and see Atila (Mt Conner) in the distance. This fascinating mesa, or flat-topped mountain, juts out of the surrounding desert plain bearing witness to a period of massive uplift, followed by eons of erosion. Continue east to Erldunda before turning north on to the famous Stuart Highway and to the town at the very heart of the Red Centre, Alice Springs. As you pass through the striking 'Outback' landscapes, your Driver/Guide will provide an informative and entertaining commentary. Set down in Alice Springs at approximately 6.30pm.
Days 7 to 8 - 1 Nights Accommodation in Alice Springs

Visit the Royal Flying Doctor Service, Alice Springs School of the Air, Central Australian Aviation Museum, the Alice Springs Reptile Centre, Alice Springs Telegraph Station, Old Stuart Town Gaol. Travel by coach or car to explore the unique scenery of Australia's Outback and its magnificent monolith - Uluru.

Days 8-12 - 4 Nights Accommodation in Port Douglas

Your vacation luxury boutique accommodation is located within walking distance of the three icons of Port Douglas - 200 metres from 4-Mile Beach, 100 metres from Macrossan Street and 400 metres to the Marina Village, where boats depart daily to Australia's Outer Great Barrier Reef. The apartments are equipped with air conditioning, ceiling fans, cable TV, CD & DVD players, microwave, fridge, dishwasher, laundry facilities and security basement car parking. There is a Lagoon style pool, an outdoor BBQ/ entertaining area, and an 8 person spa amongst a luscious tropical garden. Travel to the Daintree Rainforest and Cape Tribulation or maybe to the Great Barrier Reef. Port Douglas offers a winning combination of a cosmopolitan township and friendly village. Day 9 -Day Tour - Great Barrier Reef Snorkeling/Dive Cruise - Full Day
Great Barrier Reef Cruise, Port Douglas, AustraliaToday you will cruise out to the crystal clear waters, beautiful corals and incredible fish life found at the Agincourt Ribbon Reefs located on the very outer edge of the Great Barrier Reef, which is the best possible for boat diving and snorkeling.

Your cruise will include courtesy transfers from the Port Douglas area, Morning and Afternoon tea, cake and fruit platter, Delicious tropical buffet lunch with prawns (very large shrimp), reef interpretation talk, guided snorkel tour with marine naturalist, all snorkel equipment and tuition to include prescription masks, lycra suits and flotation devices, spacious air conditioned bar and saloon area, fresh water showers, 3 spectacular reef sites, professional photographer on board.

No problems if you wish to dive. This can be coordinated and will include DRIFT and WALL DIVES, isolated pinnacles surrounded by Pelagic fish, and coral gardens with their endless variety of colorful wrasses, cods, parrot fish, angel fish, clams and anemones, that make a healthy living reef so beautiful. All our sites have been selected for both the shallower coral gardens favored by snorkellers, and the adjacent deeper walls and drop-offs preferred by scuba divers.

Day 10 - Day Tour - Cape Tribulation Safari

At the entrance of Port Douglas explore the Rainforest Habitat Wildlife Sanctuary stop and have morning tea along with a guided tour through the three wildlife environments (rainforest, wetlands and grasslands) where you can experience a cacophony of wildlife. Take a guided rainforest walk where you'll have a stop at the picturesque Mossman Gorge then cross the Daintree River by cable driven ferry into the magnificent wilderness region that embraces the diverse coastal scenery and the oldest rainforest on earth, Daintree National Park. Relax at Cape Tribulation Resort & Spa where you'll enjoy a tropical buffet lunch. Then stroll along the beach or boardwalks of the World Heritage listed Cape Tribulation Beach that holds magnificent views where the oldest rainforest in the world meets the Great Barrier Reef. View the breathtaking scenery of the Daintree River and Coral Sea at the Alexandra Lookout. Day 11 - Free Day to Explore
Port Douglas, AustraliaExperience the distinctive laid back atmosphere and low-rise tropical old world charm of Port Douglas!

Experience a range of attractions from one of the many galleries to the great shopping districts. Stop for a bite to eat at the Marina Mirage and take a walk on the boardwalk while you're there. Take a visit to Port Douglas' first church, Saint Mary's by the Sea and see fantastic views of the Coral Sea and distant mountains. Don't forget to soak up the sun at Four Mile Beach or even take in a game of golf.

What ever your tastes happen to be, Port Douglas is a great place to relax and simply enjoy the many great features of this town.
Optional Day Tour (Not Included) - Sail away to the Low Isles
Sailing, Port Douglas, AustraliaToday you will enjoy a day to remember with a sail out to the protected Low Isles, an unspoiled coral cay in the Great Barrier Reef. With 4.5 hours to explore the coral cay, white sandy beaches and coconut palms whilst marveling at the coral gardens and the Coral Sea that surround you.

Enjoy the relaxing sail to and from the island as you will be transferred by tender to the island itself which is situated on a large coral platform consisting of a small coral cay, a large mangrove island, mudflats, seagrass beds, and coral reefs. Surrounded by 55 acres of coral reef comprised of 150 species of hard corals and dominated by 15 species of soft corals it is an ideal place for snorkelling. Living in the blue lagoon are a large variety of reef fish including angelfish, damselfish, anemones, giant trevally, sweetlip, fusiliers and many green turtles are sighted daily. Be sure not to miss out on the Heritage Walk where you can learn about the islands history and environment and visit the lighthouse built in 1878. There are also a number of bird species on which you may encounter including pelicans, honeyeaters, white breasted wood swallows, mangrove kingfishers, reef egrets with sea eagles and ospreys wheeling overhead.

This morning, head about an hour west for take off to the Atherton Tablelands known for its excellent weather, spectacular scenery and reliable take off conditions. You will be in awe as you see the largest fleet of hot air balloons prepare to sail the skies. On your ride take in the picturesque landscapes at sunrise as you fly gently above the Tablelands. Even if you have a fear of heights, you'll see that your flight is very gentle and stable since you gently lift from the ground making you feel comfortable and safe. Experience the unique sensation of breathing in the crisp air on your 30 minute hot air ballooning ride across the wide-open space. When the burner is off, listen to the sounds around you as the wind whips through the air and the sounds below drift up towards you. After your flight, come back down to Earth for landing and have lots of laughs as you assist in hot air balloon pack-up games. Rainforest Habitat, Port Douglas, AustraliaVisit three environments and experience a cacophony of wildlife all at once at the Rainforest Habitat Wildlife Sanctuary located at the entrance of Port Douglas.

Situated on eight acres of land, the park recreates three very unique environments that allow you to see various and numerous species through meandering boardwalks. Check out the Wetlands where you can view wading birds as they forage for fish beneath the boardwalks, along with marsupials, fruitbats and other bird species. Come hungry and have the original "Breakfast with the Birds" (extra cost) which will tempt you with champagne, juices, tropical buffet and bottomless tea and coffee. Watch the clock and make sure to be on time for the Koala Photos (extra cost). Stop off at the Presentation Hut where you can meet up close with parrots, cockatoos, frogmouths, kookaburras, pythons and crocodiles (check times). If you get hungry stop off at the Café where meals and snacks are available or have "Lunch with the Lorikeets" (extra cost). View the native species of the Wet Tropics at the Rainforest with such animals as the endangered Southern Cassowary, Boyd's Forest Dragon and colourful Eclectus parrots. Interact and hand feed Queensland's largest range of kangaroos and wallabies at the Grasslands. Double check the lagoons where the crocodiles are lurking beneath the murky waters or basking on the sunlit banks. Don't forget to checkout the gift shop, ask about the free guided tours or inquire about the 3 day entry passes.

Experience the thrill of white water rafting down the Barron River. No previous experience is necessary to raft these exhilarating grade 2 and 3 rapids through Barron Gorge National Park. Day 13 - Day Tour - Australia Zoo

You will be taken directly to and from the Wildlife Park and have nearly 6 hours to experience the best of the zoo. Take in the many daily shows and demonstrations where you can see exciting snakes, birds and crocodiles in action! The "Call of the Wild" experience leads you to Steve's home and over 550 animals that you would only expect to see in the wilds of Australia. Experience a truly remarkable day as you watch a demonstration featuring wild crocodiles. Meet Amelia, the Wedged-Tailed Eagle and other birds of prey. Watch the small clawed otters frolic and Harriet, the world's oldest giant Galapagos land tortoise, as they feed. Encounter cuddly Koalas close up and join in the feeding of the kangaroos and wallabies. This is a day to experience the pleasures of the wild and watch very experienced professional handlers get close to extremely dangerous creatures. Don't miss the opportunity to take a photo with a snake at the Croc Hunter Museum or see the wild caught croc demo. Keep your eyes out for handlers walking through the park with the animals so you can get "up close and personal".
