This vacation to australia was tailored so this family could experience Australia's Great Barrier Reef, Rainforests, Uluru (Ayers Rock) in Outback central Australia and the highlights of Sydney all in a very short period of time.

Detailed Itinerary
- International Flight from Los Angeles (Not Included)
After departing from Los Angeles, you will be provided with an evening meal, you can relax, have a drink, watch a movie and rest. You will be given Breakfast before landing in Cairns, Australia. (you lose one day crossing the International Date Line but don't worry you'll catch it up again on your return flight to the USA) This flight has a connection in Sydney or Brisbane.
The Qantas Boeing 747-400 is equipped with the latest entertainment features of any Airline. The overnight flight to Australia can be a good opportunity for sleeping or to watch the latest movies after your evening meal.- Day 1: Arrive Cairns. Accommodation (3 nights).
Travel to your accommodation Cairns, Australia, where you will be staying whilst on vacation for 3 nights.
Your 4 Star vacation accommodation is located on the waterfront, overlooking Trinity Bay and the extensive parklands of Cairns, Australia. Elegantly appointed rooms with private balconies offer panoramic views to the Coral Sea or to Australia's majestic rainforest clad mountains. The hotel facilities include a restaurant, wine bar, and swimming pool. Travel and experience Australia's nature and culture by visiting the Great Barrier Reef or Tjapukai Aboriginal Cultural Park. Or travel along Captain Cook Highway and visit picturesque Mossman Gorge.- Day 3: Great Barrier Reef Day Tour
Today you'll go on a cruise to the Great Barrier Reef, one of the natural wonders of the world, and not surprisingly the world's most extensive coral reef.
Cruise by luxury catamaran to reef activity platforms moored at the ribbon reefs on the outer edge of the Great Barrier Reef. Experience the unsurpassed coral formations, marine life and underwater visibility of the Agincourt Ribbon Reef system where you can explore this reef world. Visit Moore Reef, located on the outer reef, and swim and snorkel, or view the aquatic world from a semi-submersible or glass-bottom boat. Marvel at the spectacular beauty of the reef teeming with tropical fishes, and explore the colourful coral. Visit the marine life touch tank and underwater theatre. Enjoy a buffet lunch (included). With facilities for swimmers and non-swimmers it's sure to be fun for the whole family.

Travel within Australia by domestic air from Cairns to Ayers Rock (Uluru). - Days 4 (Continued) & 5: Australian Outback Adventure
Your tour starts at Ayers Rock Airport with a transfer to the Ayers Rock Resort. An afternoon Tour to the mighty Domes of Kata Tjuta and late in the afternoon see the sunset across Uluru. The next day its Uluru at sunrise plus a guided walk to Mutitjulu. That evening experience the "Sound of Silence Dinner". Last day depart Ayers Rock Airport.
Day 1. Ayers Rock Resort, Kata Tjuta (Olgas), Olga Gorge (Walpa Gorge), Uluru (Ayers Rock).
Arrive at Ayers Rock Airport before 1.00 p.m. and be welcomed and transferred to your hotel. This afternoon we travel to the magnificent domes of Kata Tjuta, these 36 dramatic rock formations dominate the skyline. Enjoy the walk into majestic Olga Gorge, where some of the plants are so rare that they are only found around these sandstone monoliths. Tales of the Tjukurpa (Dreamtime) period are closely linked to the domes of Kata Tjuta. Enjoy a glass of wine at sunset as you watch the spectacular changing colours of Uluru. Tonight enjoy the facilities of Ayers Rock Resort (own expense). Two Night Stay: Ayers Rock Resort
Day 2. Uluru Tour, 'Sounds of Silence' Dinner.
Shortly before sunrise travel back to Uluru to admire the sunrise. Enjoy a tea or coffee and watch as the first light of day strikes the monolith. With the sun still rising join a guided walk to Mutitjulu waterhole. Take the Mala Walk to learn of the Mala (Hare Wallaby) people who once lived at Uluru. Explore Kantju Gorge, a sacred waterhole and an old hunting ground. Hear ancient stories told by traditional owners and learn of the history of Uluru. The more energetic may wish to forgo the Mutitjulu and Mala walks to climb to the summit of Uluru. Enjoy spectacular views across the desert. Visit the Cultural Centre and the Maruku Arts and Craft Cooperative to see Aboriginal artists at work. Tonight, experience fine cuisine in the solitude of the desert at the 'Sounds of Silence' Dinner. Listen to the haunting tones of the didgeridoo and savour the five-course dinner, including Australian delicacies such as kangaroo, emu, crocodile and barramundi. After dinner relax with a glass of port and enjoy a guided tour of the starry skies. (D)
Tomorrow morning enjoy the resort at your leisure. Perhaps relax by the pool or take part in a game of tennis or minigolf before transferring to Ayers Rock Airport for your flight home.- Day 6: Domestic Flight to Sydney

Travel to your accommodation in the heart of Sydney, Australia, where you will be staying whilst on vacation for 5 nights.
Your vacation hotel is located in Sydney's most exciting playground, Darling Harbour. Explore the Darling Harbour area, which is a modern collection of unique Australia Shopping Malls, Parkland, Restaurants and Harbour Front activities. Travel by Monorail to the City Center is also a must, or walk to Circular Quay. Or maybe travel by ferry to our wonderful harbour-side Taronga Park Zoo, or to the lovely tree-lined beach suburb of Manly. On your vacation participate in an inspiring tour of the opera house in Sydney, Australia.
This one hour tour outlines the intricate and controversial history of the Sydney Opera House along with details of the unique design of this architectural masterpiece. You will visit a number of the six performance venues, including the magnificent wood paneled Concert Hall and the Opera Theatre as well as the new Utzon room. You will also visit the glass enclosed northern foyer areas which boast spectacular views of Sydney Harbour - a perfect photo opportunity.- Day 7: Sydney Harbour Bridgeclimb Adventure (3 hours)
On your vacation climb the famous Harbour Bridge in Sydney, Australia.
Achieve exhilaration and personal satisfaction as you climb the Sydney Harbour Bridge. For approximately two hours you, along with 11 other eager climbers and a climb guide, weave through catwalks, climb up ladders and then arrive at the most spectacular point of all - the upper arch climb. The steady incline to the upper arch leaves you free to focus your attention on your Sydney experience, with opportunities for 360 degree views of Sydney, including east to the ocean, west to the mountains and the harbour city surrounds.
