Travel Deals to the Outback in Australia UluruTravel to Sydney, Australia where you can see many icons such as the Sydney Opera House, The Rocks, Darling Harbour and the Harbor Bridge.  Spend your free days exploring this international city anyway you wish.

Ayers Rock

You’ll start your Outback Australia vacation at Ayers Rock Resort. The evening of your arrival, you’ll find yourself in the world-renowned Field of Light.  Travel into the desert where a magical landscape awaits you. The monolith and its surrounds are transformed into a sparkling dream by British artist Bruce MunroAs a temporary installation, the Field of light is truly a once in a lifetime experience.

You’ll also enjoy a guided sightseeing tour to explore Australia’s iconic Red Center, including Uluru (Ayers Rock) and the Olgas. Visit the local Cultural Centre to learn about the region’s heritage. Absorb the beauty & enormity of Uluru during sunrise & sunset viewings. Stroll around the base of Uluru, see ancient Aboriginal rock paintings, learn about the geology and history. Meander through Walpa Gorge a lush desert haven for plants and wildlife. By the end of your stay at Uluru, you’ll truly understand why the Aboriginal people of the outback regard the land with such passion and spirituality.

Alice Springs

Travel from Ayers Rock to Alice Springs to witness the vast landscape of the Australian Outback from the comfort of a deluxe air conditioned coach. Spend one night in Australia’s Oasis, Alice Springs, where you can learn how early pioneer men and women lived in the outback.

The Ghan

Your next night will be spent onboard Australia’s most famous train journey, The Ghan. See the landscape transform from the red vastness of the Red Centre to the tropical modern city of Darwin. This is truly the best way to see the Outback. Included in your Gold Cabin ticket are all on-board meals and a wide choice of wines, beers, spirits, cocktails, soft drinks, tea and coffee.

Darwin

You’ll spend 2 nights in Australia’s Top End. Maybe catch one of Darwin’s famous beach-side sunsets as you dine on fresh seafood and soak up the city’s tropical water front lifestyle. Head to the wave pool and free swimming lagoon. Get in some shopping at Smith Street Mall the Star Village arcade, home to some great vintage and quirky boutiques, hand-made chocolate and the Four Birds café. Or discover the untold stories of Northern Territory’s capital city during World War II at one of the numerous historic sites and museums.

Included in this package is a full day tour of Litchfield national park waterfalls. This is your chance to spot Australia’s wildlife in the wild. Keep a look out for kangaroos, wallabies, possums, flying foxes and dingoes.   See the picturesque double waterfall of Florence Falls, surrounded by lush rainforest. Continue to Tolmer Falls. Noted as one of the most spectacular waterfalls in the park, Tolmer Falls cascades over two high escarpments and plunges into a deep waterhole below. Journey a short distance to the rock pool at Wangi Falls where there’s time to enjoy a refreshing swim in the waters at the waterfall’s base, (conditions permitting). Or perhaps take a nature walk to the top of Wangi Falls and enjoy a bird’s-eye view.
