(Day 1) - International Flight, Los Angeles to Sydney

Travel to Australia on your vacation. After departing from Los Angeles you will be provided with an evening meal. You can relax, have a drink, watch a movie, review your itinerary or just rest. You will be given Breakfast before landing in Sydney, Australia. (You lose one day crossing the International Date Line but don’t worry you catch it up again on your return flight to the USA)

Insiders Tip: Sydney Harbour Pylon Museum and Lookout - Bridgeclimb Alternative

See the fantastic views of the city, the harbour and the world famous icon – the Sydney Harbour Bridge! This is a wonderful alternative if you do not wish to climb the bridge.

Access is via the pedestrian pathway on the Eastern side of the Bridge from the city side (use the Bridge Stairs in Cumberland Street, The Rocks). There are 200 stairs to the Lookout, but on the way up there are 3 levels of exhibits where you will discover the history and construction of the Bridge, the men who built it, and the vision of JJC Bradfield, chief engineer

At the end of (or even before) your visit to the Museum, enjoy the scenery and walk across the Sydney Harbour Bridge. The walk to the North side of Sydney will take approximately 15-20 minutes from the Pylon.

(Day 4) - Free Day to Explore Sydney

With Sydney at your fingertips, take the chance to explore the Darling Harbour area at your leisure, which is a modern collection of Shopping Malls, Parkland, Restaurants and Harbour Front activities.

Walk to Circular Quay and catch a ferry to our wonderful harbour-side Taronga Park Zoo, or take the 30 minute ferry ride to Manly Beach, Sydney’s premier beach resort. Here you can enjoy the laid back beach culture as well as many festivals and events. If you prefer to stay closer to downtown Sydney, Bondi Beach is approximately a 10 minute train ride and is one of Australia’s most famous and iconic beaches. Save some time to take a beach walk from Bondi Beach to Bronte Beach, it’s known to be a true highlight. If visiting on a weekend then go to the Rocks Market and shop for local Arts, Crafts & unique Australian Souvenirs.

Optional Day Tour (Not Included)- Hot Air Balloon ride over Sydney

Enjoy spectacular views of the local countryside and historic town of Camden as you fly over it at sunrise.

Located in Sydney’s beautiful Macarthur region, the picturesque landscape and favorable weather patterns of the region make the Camden Valley area an ideal balloon flight location.

Once at the launch site, it only takes around 30 minutes for your balloon to be inflated and ready for boarding. You are welcome to help with the setup of the balloon or simply stand back and take photos as your aircraft takes shape and comes to life.

As the sun rises, you will ascend into the sky in your colorful balloon. As your balloon drifts gently along on the morning breeze you will feel completely secure within your basket, with very little sensation of movement. Insider's Tip: Sydney Harbour Taronga Zoo

Taronga Zoo is the nation’s leading zoological garden, featuring Australia’s finest collection of native animals and a diverse collection of exotic species.

What makes Taronga something special is its location. It is situated on elevated land along the waterfront, in one of the most beautiful vantage points on Sydney Harbour overlooking Sydney Cove, the Harbour Bridge and the Opera House. Taronga Zoo is approximately 12 minutes by ferry from Circular Quay and the city center. Ferries depart Circular Quay, every quarter past and quarter to the hour and can be purchased at your own expense.

As you zigzag your way along the paths among the animal enclosures, you can enjoy magnificent harbor views. The Taronga Zoo has its own jetty, and you are able to step off the boat and walk directly into the zoo. It is always best to start your tour of the Zoo from the top entrance. That way you’ll be walking downhill facing the harbor. You’ll then be continually surprised as you turn a corner and catch a different vista of the horizon.

With the transport to The Rocks serviced by the Explorer and just a five minute walk from the Circle Quay it is easy to get here. The Sydney Visitors Centre on the corner of Argyle & Playfair Streets at The Rocks: open 9.30am – 5.30pm every day of the year (except Christmas Day and Good Friday). Today you will cruise out to the crystal clear waters, beautiful corals and incredible fish life found at the Agincourt Ribbon Reefs located on the very outer edge of the Great Barrier Reef, which is the best possible for boat diving and snorkeling.

3 reef sites visited daily to enjoy unlimited snorkelling. All reef sites are chosen for visual impact and ecological diversity – and the challenge of discovery! You’ll tour the rainforest on the amphibious Army Duck, enjoy a performance by the Pamagirri Dancers and partake in a traditional Aussie-style BBQ lunch. Finally, board the Skyrail Cableway and glide over sparkling waterfalls and ancient rainforest habitat.

Boarding the famous Kuranda Scenic Railway, an amazing journey awaits you as you travel one of the world’s most scenic rail routes through hand-hewn tunnels and over bridges spanning spectacular gorges. Experience the thrill of white water rafting down the Barron River. No previous experience is necessary to raft these exhilarating grade 2 and 3 rapids through Barron Gorge National Park. Insider's Tip: Visit the Rainforest Habitat

Visit four environments and experience a cacophony of wildlife all at once at the Wildlife Habitat Animal Sanctuary located at the entrance of Port Douglas.

Situated on eight acres of land, the park recreates four very unique environments that allow you to see various and numerous species through meandering boardwalks.

Enter through the Savannah, a new habitat offering an opportunity to wander amongst the beautifully rich colored birds of northern Australian open woodlands. Check out the Wetlands where you can view wading birds as they forage for fish beneath the boardwalks, along with marsupials, fruit bats and other bird species.

Come hungry and have the original “Breakfast with the Birds” (extra cost) which will tempt you with a delicious breakfast buffet, juices, exotic tropical fruit selection and bottomless tea and coffee. Watch the clock and make sure to be on time for the Koala Photos (extra cost).

Stop off at the Presentation Hut where you can meet up close with various reptiles, including pythons and crocodiles (check times). If you get hungry stop off at the Cafe where meals and snacks are available or have “Lunch with the Lorikeets” (extra cost).

View the native species of the Wet Tropics at the Rainforest with such animals as the endangered Southern Cassowary, Boyd’s Forest Dragon and colorful Eclectus parrots. Interact and hand feed Queensland’s largest range of kangaroos and wallabies at the Grasslands. Double check the lagoons where the crocodiles are lurking beneath the murky waters or basking on the sunlit banks.

Zinc is contemporary dining with a relaxed coastal feel. Experience modern Australian cuisine made with fresh ingredients, such as local seafood, on either the outdoor terrace with views of Four Mile Beach or in the modern decor indoor dining area. Zinc is home to the largest privately owned aquarium on the east coast of Australia.



Zinc’s relaxed lounge bar features a large range of wines by the glass, over 70 cocktails, as well as over 110 spirits, liqueurs and a selection of cold beers on tap…perfect for that pre-dinner drink or after-dinner nightcap.

Zinc, a unique combination of restaurant, cafe and lounge, is located in the Portico Building on the corner of Macrossan & Davidson Streets. Lunch is served from 12 noon, Dinner from 5:30pm and Tapas are available all day from midday. Lounge closing time varies by day. Insider's Tip: Explore Brisbane with the City Cat Ferry

Get a ticket on the City Cat Ferry – it’s good for all day & lets you ride bus, train and ferry.


Include Mount Cootha as part of the zones you will cross – you can get off at a ferry stop and take a bus from there to Mount Cootha and take in some great city views. Be sure to do this earlier in the day since the buses stop running out to Mount Cootha later in the day.

Brisbane has a great public transportation system in place and free tours of both the Parliament House and the Botanical Gardens.

Today you’ll visit the world-renowned Australia Zoo, made famous by Crocodile Hunter, Steve Irwin. You’ll travel in style and comfort with a small group in a luxury air-conditioned vehicle that will pick you up and drop you off right at your hotel.

Australia Zoo on the beautiful Sunshine Coast, Queensland, is nestled on over 70 acres of natural Australian bushland.
