(Day 1) - International Flight, Los Angeles to Auckland (can be included on request)

Shortly after departing Los Angeles you will be served dinner and you will be given breakfast before landing in Auckland.

Relax, watch some movies, and try to get some sleep!

Visitors come to enjoy an array of exciting entertainment, leisure, culture and dining possibilities in New Zealand’s largest city.

(Day 2) - Day Tour, Auckland Harbour Cruise

Visit a true thing of beauty and cruise the sparkling waters of Waitemata Harbour!

Head out on this one and a half hour tour to see the Devonport Naval Base, travel past the township and North Head, then cruise towards the iconic Rangitoto Island as you pass the historic Bean Rock lighthouse. You’ll pass under the Harbour Bridge twice and then off to Westhaven Marina to catch a glance at the viaduct harbour bustling with super yachts! This cruise also gives you a chance to “hop-on, hop-off” and discover nearby islands at your leisure.

Daily at 10.30am & 1.30pm. Tours do not operate on Christmas day.

(Days 3 & 4) - Free Days to Explore Auckland

Visit one of Auckland’s many attractions.

Fly a kite or throw a Frisbee in the beautifully landscaped Auckland Domain, the city’s oldest park. Critique a giant selection of both traditional and contemporary art at Auckland Art Gallery. Take a walking, swim or hike through any of Auckland’s 25 Regional Parks. Have a laugh at The Classic Comedy and Bar in Queen Street, New Zealand’s home of live comedy. Take the bus over to Eden Park, New Zealand’s largest stadium. In the evening you can join the dancing on K’Road and party on till the wee hours at one of the many nightclubs. Or maybe you would rather visit the trendy suburb of Ponsonby and enjoy delicious cuisine, superb lattes or cocktails if more to your taste. And if it is cafes, bars and restaurants you’re after, the Viaduct Harbour has a great selection.

Visit two of New Zealand’s most famous attractions on this deluxe five-star coach tour. The Waitomo Glow-Worm Caves and the spectacular geothermal regions of Rotorua, rich with Maori culture and natural history, make this a truly memorable day.

DEPART AUCKLAND: Travel the main Southern Highway through small rural townships steeped in early pioneer history. Your host serves morning tea during this sector.
WAIKATO:Travel through New Zealand’s largest dairy and sheep farming province. Travel the outskirts of Hamilton City via the small farming settlements towards the King Country, birthplace of the Maori Monarchy.
WAITOMO GLOW WORM CAVES: Join a guided tour through this world-famous cave formation, climaxed by drifting silently in a boat through a glow worm cavern lit up with thousands of tiny glow worm lights.
LIGHT LUNCH:Served on-board as we make our way to Rotorua through magnificent rural farmland with its vast numbers of grazing animals.
ROTORUA: New Zealand’s highest city, 305 meters (1000 feet) above sea level, located inside the rim of a volcanic crater. An area of great geothermal activity. We visit the following attractions:
AGRODOME FARM TOUR: An introduction to New Zealand farming, with a 45-minute tour of an authentic working farm in all-weather, all-terrain vehicles. Watch a sheep being shorn and hand-feed the animals.
LAKE ROTORUA: Drive through the foreshore park past the hundreds of ducks and swans. Then through the beautiful historic Government Gardens.
TE PUIA INSTITUTE (MAORI ARTS & CRAFTS AND WHAKAREWAREWA THERMAL RESERVE):
One of Rotorua’s most famous attractions. See woodcarving, weaving displays, Maori village and the thermal valley with the famous Pohutu Geyser, fumaroles, colourful silica deposits and boiling mud pools.
RETURN TO AUCKLAND: Your attraction-packed day concludes as the coach travels through the beautiful horse breeding district of Matamata and the pastureland of the Hauraki plains. A light snack is served on this sector.

Optional Day Tour (Not Included) - Americas Cup Sailing Expedition - 1/2 Day

The America’s Cup Sailing Experience offers the unique opportunity to sail on these grand prix racing machines!

Enjoy two hours as passengers become the crew and are encouraged to take the helm, exert energy on the grinders or simply sit back and enjoy the action as we sail down the Auckland Harbour. The trip suits people of all experiences and abilities and is the perfect activity in Auckland, ‘City of Sails’.

Marvel at spectacular coastal scenery including the Hole in the Rock, Cathedral Cave and the inner islands while aboard a luxury catamaran. Also see the historic Waitangi Treaty House and a ‘waka’ (Maori war canoe).

Travel north over the Auckland Harbour Bridge and enjoy spectacular rural & coastal scenery enroute to the Bay of Islands via Hibiscus Coast and Whangarei. Bay of Islands is one of the most picturesque and popular vacation sites in New Zealand and was the site of the earliest contact between the indigenous population and European settlers. Take a trip into the past and visit such historical places as the Waitangi Treaty House, see a traditional Maori Meeting House and a huge ‘waka’ (war canoe), Captain Cook Memorial Museum, Flagstaff Hill and the oldest building in the country (Kemp House) along with the oldest Church. In the early afternoon at Cape Brett, board a luxury catamaran for your cruising adventure through game fishing waters as you cruise past the Cape Brett lighthouse to the famous ‘Hole in the Rock’. The excitement grows as you make a passage through the Hole and then continue on to the majestic Grand Cathedral Cave. On your return journey relax and enjoy subtropical paradise views with your favourite drink as you meander through the inner islands back to Cape Brett which are world renowned deep sea fishing grounds where porpoise (dolphins) and schools of fish are frequently seen. Explore the stunning natural environment of Matiu/Somes Island, discover the city’s history with a guided tour of the Museum of Wellington City & Sea, and enjoy a classic kiwi fish ‘n chips lunch as you ride the ferry to roam the natural conservation environment of Matiu/Somes Island.

New Zealand’s capital city, Wellington, sits nestled in a natural amphitheatre around the harbour. It is easy to explore on foot and there are heaps of great things to see and do that don’t cost a cent.

Visit the dynamic and interactive National Museum of NZ – Te Papa on the waterfront. Get your city bearings and some of Wellington’s best views at the Mount Victoria Lookout. Ride the historic Wellington Cable Car to the Botanic Garden. Four Wellington restaurants have won NZ’s Best Restaurant in the last five years. It’s safe to say you’ll be eating very well while in Wellington! Hear the birdsong and spot a tuatara as you walk through ZEALANDIA: The Karori Sanctuary Experience. (Day 8) - Day Tour, Gondola Ride

One of the first sights to captivate visitors to Queenstown is the distinctive outline of the Skyline complex high above town.

Located an easy 5 minute walk from central Queenstown and exclusively accessed by scenic gondola, Skyline Gondola, Restaurant & Luge is a must-see attraction during your visit to Queenstown. Optional Day Tour (Not Included) - Doubtful Sound - Full Day

Doubtful Sound is a beautiful fiord; three times longer than Milford Sound and a surface area ten times larger with twisting arms. With its rugged peaks, verdant rainforest and twisting, hidden inlets, Doubtful Sound will take your breath away.

The only way you can to get to Doubtful Sound is to cruise across the picturesque Lake Manapouri, followed by a bus trip over Wilmot Pass – New Zealand’s most expensive (and majestic) road.
Pause along the way to experience the dense Fiordland rainforest and view Doubtful Sound glistening below. This isolation makes this fiord a very special place, only those in the know get to see.
Once you arrive, you will board the Patea Explorer for a 3-hour cruise on Doubtful Sound – a spectacular pristine fiord. During the cruise, your knowledgeable and friendly skipper or nature guide will share with you their passion for the region. They’re always ready to answer questions, point out landmarks and provide all the information about the varied wildlife you may see, including dolphins, fur seals, and the rare Fiordland crested penguin.
Following the cruise, return to your Queenstown hotel by luxury coach.

This jet boat adventure offers your senses a feast of spectacular natural beauty on a journey into the wilderness of the World Heritage-listed Mt. Aspiring National Park.

Your day begins with 1.5 hour journey on a jet boat through the Dart River system. You’ll be surrounded by beautiful snow-covered peaks, hidden valleys & waterfalls. Your day includes a guided walk (30 minutes) along the ‘Heritage Trail’ at Paradise. Your guide will provide you with informative & entertaining commentary about the ancient native beech forest. The forests of this region sit within a World Heritage Area, one of the only natural sites of its kind that is accessible to the public.

Your guide details the fascinating history of this area from the days of Gondwanaland, to quests by Maori for prized pounamu, to the present-day efforts of New Zealand’s department of conservation for the preservation of the area. On the ride home, you will stop to view the epic backdrop for many international movies, including ‘The Lord of the Rings’ trilogy.

Dart River Wilderness Safari is a high-country adventure. To ensure that your experience is truly enjoyable, please: Dress warmly and wear comfortable walking shoes, regardless of season or weather. Bring sunglasses, a sunhat and sunscreen (insect repellent could also be useful in some weather conditions). Note that cameras are carried at customer’s risk.

Ideal for first time white water rafting. This grade 2 – 3 river provides stunning scenery and includes the longest commercially rafted rapid, the 400m Dog Leg.

The Kawarau river is ideal for first time rafters or suited to those looking for
a more relaxed rafting experience. There’s plenty of white water action, but
also time to sit back, relax and enjoy the spectacular scenery. Keep and
eye on the other rafts though, as there’s a good chance of a water fight.
It’s the Kawarau that starred as the river Anduin in Lord of the Rings. The
grandeur of the canyons imparts a feeling of paddling through the heart of
Middle Earth. Enjoy the unforgettable 400m long Dog Leg rapid- New
Zealand’s longest commercially rafted rapid.

Enjoy an afternoon exploring some of the award winning wineries in the Queenstown region.

Take this afternoon tour and experience the true flavor of our local pinot noir and other wine varietals at three premium vineyards. Enjoy a guided tour through the vines and into New Zealand’s largest underground wine cave. This relaxing tour travels just a short distance from Queenstown where you will be given in-depth wine tastings and presentation at each vineyard.

You have plenty of time to unwind and get yourself a winery lunch (own expense) or sample a selection of local cheeses, craft beer, coffee (there is an opportunity to substitute wine tasting for beer at time of booking).

Navua River Village Tour: Experience the thrills of fast-flowing shallow rapids along the way. Visit a village for Kava ceremony and Fijian lunch. Swim in clear, fresh mountain water and visit specialty shops, before returning down the river.

Rafting on the Navua River: Upon arrival in Navua town board a water taxi to the upper reaches of the Navua River, the starting point of your rafting adventure. Relax on the river side and enjoy a picnic lunch (BBQ) and a swim. Disembark on your raft through tropical jungle forest while water cascades through a wonderland of sights abounding in birdlife. Experience exhilarating rapids and the beautiful waterfalls downstream the landing point.

Flowers in the Gardens of the Sleeping Giant: Depart your Fijian accommodation and venture into Nadi’s scenic heartland through the beautiful Sabeto Valley to the Gardens of the Sleeping Giant, housing the largest and most varied orchid collection in Fiji for this half day tour.

Then to Viseisei Village, the legendary landing site of the first Fijians, where you will be shown through the village and handicraft displays. The Vuda Lookout offers a 360 degree bird’s eye view of the West’s mountain ranges, Nadi Bay, and the beautiful Yasawa Group of Islands. Relax in a Fijian Bure and enjoy a tropical fruit juice and seasonal fruits from the orchard.

Your journey begins on a motor boat which takes you up the river past villages and through scenes of untouched beauty with waterfalls and deep gorges.

Experience the thrills of fast-flowing shallow rapids along the way. Visit a village for Kava ceremony and Fijian lunch. Swim in clear, fresh mountain water and visit specialty shops, before returning down the river.

Departs Nadi from Nadi with pickups at resorts along the way.

Optional Day Tour (Not Included) - Off Road Cave Safari Tour

This half day experience will enable you to get a glimpse of Fiji as it was and now is. You will be taken on a journey of discovery that includes crossing the mighty Sigatoka River via a “push push punt” and then heading deep inland on board your guided off-road vehicle.

Your ATV driver will start your journey along the road less travelled by sharing their knowledge and stories about the nearby villages and what life is like in the village. Along the way, you can see locals going about their daily lives.

After some 35 minutes on the road less traveled, you will arrive at the bete’s or high priest’s home. Your guide will be on hand to explain or answer any questions you may have on Fijian traditions and customs.

After a kava ceremony, the priest along with your Off Road Cave Safari guide will lead you to the entrance of the Naihehe Cave, a mere 5-minute stroll away. The cave is more than 170 meters long and as you go through the initial small opening and into a small cavern, you will soon find yourself in a larger part of the cave.

After exploring and learning all about the Naihehe Cave, you will proceed to the priest’s house where a mouthwatering barbeque lunch complete with fresh fruit and juice awaits you. Bring along a change of clothes as you are bound to take a swim in the nearby freshwater swimming hole as you enjoy the company of your new friends.
