Forget the crowds on this small group tour of Kangaroo Island and see the sights that larger bus tours do not get to see. Led by a personal guide, you’ll enjoy a full day of unforgettable island wildlife spotting and a delicious gourmet lunch in a natural bush setting with complimentary South Australian wines.

Kangaroo Island is a haven of Australian wildlife, thriving in its natural habitat without the threat of introduced predators. Keep an eye out for echidnas, wallabies, reptiles and birds as you explore several island habitats. Listen to the call of over 250 different species of birds as they sing from the tall eucalyptus trees. Many of these birds have developed their own subspecies due to the island’s isolation and are therefore unique to the island.

Walk along the beach at Seal Bay Conservation Park, where your guide will lead you to the seals basking in the sun. With your guide you are able to stand at a safe distance to these wonderful, endangered creatures and hear them sigh and watch them at play. This is one of the most personal, close encounters with wildlife in the wild in all the island.

Enjoy a gourmet picnic lunch with wine set among untouched natural bush wilderness. Follow your lunch with a pleasant bushwalk or a stroll along the beach. Travel through the island’s interior keeping an eye out for koalas and echidnas. Explore spectacular beaches and enjoy a bushwalk. Listen for Australia’s rarest cockatoo, the Kangaroo Island glossy black cockatoo, and watch out for the Tammar wallaby, with its small fine features, in its natural habitat.

Later in the afternoon, as the day draws to a close, see the kangaroos leave the safety of the bush to begin grazing on the open pastures.
