On your vacation, participate in an inspiring tour of the Sydney Opera House.

This one hour tour outlines the intricate and controversial history of the Sydney Opera House along with details of the unique design of this architectural masterpiece. You will visit a number of the six performance venues, including the magnificent wood paneled Concert Hall and the Opera Theater as well as the new Utzon room. You will also visit the glass enclosed northern foyer areas which boast spectacular views of Sydney Harbour – a perfect photo opportunity.

This tour has 300+ stairs – Low Impact. Day 3 - Afternoon Tour, Sydney Panoramic City Sights

See The Rocks, Opera House, Sydney business & shopping districts, historic homes, Tamarama, Bronte & Bondi Beaches (stroll the beachfront at Bondi), Dover Heights, Watsons Bay, Rose Bay, Kings Cross, Mrs Macquaries Point.

Depart your hotel for an unforgettable Panoramic Sydney half day city sights tour. On tour you’ll visit the historic Rocks area and hear early convict history. Continue through the vibrant Central Business District (CBD), and Macquarie Street. Marvel at gorgeous 18th century sandstone architecture such as the NSW Parliament House, Rum Hospital, Hyde Park Barracks and St Mary’s Cathedral. Enjoy magnificent views of the Opera House and Harbour Bridge as you continue to Mrs. Macquaries Point.

1. Bus – Catch the 333 or 380 from Museum Station, Liverpool St. This runs every 10 minutes. Your travel time will be about 40 minutes. ($2-3 AUD per person)

2. Taxi – grab a taxi outside your hotel. The drive to Bondi Beach is about 10 minutes. ($25 – $31 AUD)

3. Uber – Uber is readily available in Sydney and will pick you up right outside your hotel. ($15 – $17 AUD)

4. Walk – The walk to Bondi is a pleasant 4.4 miles and will take approximately 1 hour and 45 minutes.

Day 5 - Day Tour, Bondi Beach Surf Lesson (2 Hr)

On your vacation plunge into the Pacific Ocean and try surfing at Bondi Beach in Sydney, Australia

To build up your knowledge and confidence, you will first start out on the beach and your instructor will teach you how to recognize surf conditions and practice your surfing technique before you get into the water.

Then it’s off into the ocean, where you start off in broken waves. You’ll be amazed at how easy, safe and enjoyable it can be to learn to surf.

Your lesson will cover surf awareness and safety, sport-specific warm-ups and stretches, standing up, paddling techniques, catching waves and equipment selection advice.

Day 6 - Free Day to Explore Sydney

With Sydney at your fingertips, take the chance to explore the Darling Harbour area at your leisure, which is a modern collection of Shopping Malls, Parkland, Restaurants and Harbour Front activities.

Walk to Circular Quay and catch a ferry to our wonderful harbour-side Taronga Park Zoo, or take the 30 minute ferry ride to Manly Beach, Sydney’s premier beach resort. Here you can enjoy the laid back beach culture as well as many festivals and events. If you prefer to stay closer to downtown Sydney, Bondi Beach is approximately a 10 minute train ride and is one of Australia’s most famous and iconic beaches. Save some time to take a beach walk from Bondi Beach to Bronte Beach, it’s known to be a true highlight. If visiting on a weekend then go to the Rocks Market and shop for local Arts, Crafts & unique Australian Souvenirs.

For approximately 3.5 hours you and 11 other eager climbers will join a climb guide and weave through catwalks, climb up ladders and then arrive at the most spectacular point of all – the upper arch climb. If quenching a thirst is what you’re after don’t forget to stop off at one of the 13 Heritage pubs serving local wines and beers!

On Saturdays and Sundays, be sure to check out the market held at the northern end of George Street. Perfect for gifts and souvenir shopping, it has more than 150 stalls selling quality crafts, home wares, jewelry and Australian-designed goods, all under a unique sail-like canopy.

With the transport to The Rocks serviced by the Explorer and just a five minute walk from the Circle Quay it is easy to get here. The Sydney Visitors Centre on the corner of Argyle & Playfair Streets at The Rocks: open 9.30am – 5.30pm every day of the year (except Christmas Day and Good Friday). Day 1
Self-Drive from Sydney to The Hunter Valley

Pick up your rental car, and depart for the spectacular Hunter Valley – Sydney’s playground! This is a pleasant 2.5 – 3 hour drive.

The Hunter Valley is the earliest winery region in Australia with vines planted as early as 1825. As you roll into Hunter Valley, you might be ready for a bite to eat. We recommend lunch at the delicious Matilda Bay Brew house. Head to your accommodation in time for your scheduled tour on horseback or a Segway.

At your resort, you can check out Wine Theatre where you will watch and learn the basic processes of making wine – from grape to bottle. You can taste all different sorts of delicious Australian wines and get a real hands on experience, learning from professionals. There are so many different activities to choose from, for the couple on a relaxed vacation, to a family looking for some fun! Try out some grape stomping, take a 2 hour cooking school with an expert chef, enjoy a relaxing massage, take a carriage ride, play tennis, go swimming or simply enjoy dinner at San Martino, the on-site Italian Restaurant.

Day 2
Wine School and Explore Hunter Valley

Experience and explore this magical region on your second day in the Hunter Valley.

Start with Wine School in the morning and then head across the road for a stop in at the Binnorie Dairy Cheese Factory– one of the best Cheese Factories in the Hunter.

Then take some time to explore Hunter Valley. This stunning region is home to a number of world class golf courses. One worth a mention is the Cypress Lakes and Greg Norman’s Vintage golf course, an 18 hole trophy golf course ranked as one of the top resort courses in Australia.

If you are more of the adventurous type, get a thrill out of skydiving over the valley, with absolutely breathtaking views of the beauty bellow.

Not into jumping out of a plane? No worries! Hot Air ballooning provides another excellent way to view this astonishing valley from above.

Additionally, there are a number of charming shopping villages, cheese and chocolate factories, horse & carriage tours, galleries, antique stores, cafes & restaurants, and over 150 wineries to explore…there will never be a dull moment! You can take your car out to explore or if you plan on tasting a lot of wine, purchase a daily “Hop on Hop Off” Bus pass.

Day 3
Free Day – Today you have a free day to do whatever you want in and around Hunter Valley. Maybe hit all the stops you didn’t have time for on Day 2 or head to a beautiful costal town called Port Stephens.

Just 70 minutes to the coast, Port Stephens makes a great day trip from Hunter Valley. It is a natural playground built for exploration. From Sand Boarding to dolphin watching, Port Stephens is a gorgeous location for it all.

You can 4WD on the 32 km Stockton Beach. This beach has the largest moving sand dunes in the southern hemisphere. With a marvelous view, and few other tourists, you’ll really enjoy your 4WD drive. All the activities are accompanied by professional instructors to guarantee your safety.

Maybe treat yourself to dolphin watching and a buffet with Moonshadow Cruises, the largest cruising company in Port Stephens. Approximately 150 wild bottlenose dolphins live in Port Stephens, making it the “Capital of Dolphins” in Australia!

After your splendid day in Port Stephens, make your way back to your resort in Hunter Valley.

Day 4
Wakeup early and head to back to Sydney to drop off your car (2.5 – 3hr). Remember to drop off your car before the time you picked it up to avoid be charged an additional day.

The tour runs from the base of the spectacular Broken Back Ranges of Pokolbin in the heart of Hunter Valley Wine Country. Trail rides suit the timid beginner through to the seasoned rider. This amazing adventure starts off at the brewery at Hunter Valley Resort, before entering the off road tracks / trails of this vast bush land property and travelling along an old 1880’s stock route. No cars!!!. Here you will encounter scores of kangaroo’s, awesome views of the Brokenback Ranges and even the odd wombat. The tour also ventures through the resort’s vineyard on the way home… which is the icing on the cake!

Day 8 - Day Tour, Wine School (2 Hr)

The Wine Tasting Cellars are open everyday to try the fruits of their labour, not to be missed is the daily comprehensive vineyard tour to experience how wine is actually made right from the grapevine to bottle!

The two-hour Hunter Valley Wine School promises an education of wine. Walk through the vineyard and learn how and why a grapevine grows.

Then it is a comprehensive winemaking tutorial with our Cellarmaster.

The structured wine tutorial covers:
Where and how is wine made?
What is its history?
What are the grape varieties?
How are they different?
Blending – Why, and what does one look for with the bouquet, taste, and colour?

Finally – you receive a personalised Wine Appreciation Certificate to take home with you. Plus lots more knowledge about Hunter Wines

Day 9 - Free Day to Explore Hunter Valley

Free day to rest, relax or explore Hunter Valley

Hunter Valley Wine Country is a two hour drive North of Sydney. Set against the dramatic backdrop of the Brokenback Range, the area now yields more than a hundred and forty wineries and cellar doors, embracing areas such as Pokolbin, Rothbury, Broke Fordwich, Lovedale, Wollombi Valley and Mount View.

If you are hunting for something new to do, you may wish to experience a glorious sunrise from a hot air balloon, horse ride through a vineyard, browse through galleries and antique shops, or see the Valley by horse and carriage, bicycle or even limousine!

The Hunter Valley is known for its award winning wines; however the valley now supports a burgeoning olive industry with cold pressed olive oil and other olive products. You will also find wood fired bread, delicious Hunter Cheeses, stone fruits, table grapes, honey, home made condiments and sauces, and even chocolate made with chilli.
