Day 1 - International Flight, Los Angeles to Sydney

Travel to Australia on your vacation. After departing from Los Angeles you will be provided with an evening meal. You can relax, have a drink, watch a movie, review your itinerary or just rest. You will be given Breakfast before landing in Sydney, Australia. (You lose one day crossing the International Date Line but don’t worry you catch it up again on your return flight to the USA)

Days 2 to 5 - 4 Day Car Rental, for Sydney

Discover Australia as you travel by rental car.

As part of your vacation self-drive Australia and explore our stunning landscapes, coastlines, regional towns and wildlife. Stop and meet the locals, maybe enjoy a counter meal at a local Aussie pub, or relax on the beach while sampling some takeaway fish & chips from the local deli or servo. During one of your rest stops try to spot a kangaroo, emu or even a Koala in the wild.

Please bring a valid American drivers license with you and be aware that the Australians drives on the left hand side of the road.

Day 2 - Self Drive from Sydney to Hunter Valley

Drive from Sydney to one of Australia’s premier wine regions – Hunter Valley.

Depart for the spectacular Hunter Valley, the true wine lover’s playground! With Motorway all the way, it makes for a pleasant 2 1/2 to 3 hr drive. If you have time, you might like the scenic route through the Yengo National Park.

The Hunter Valley is the earliest winery region in Australia with vines planted in the year of 1825. Once you arrive, feel free to enjoy lunch at the delicious Matilda Bay Brew house at your leisure. You can pop down to Visit Hunter Valley Wine Theatre where you will watch and learn the basic processes of making wine – from grape to bottle. You can taste all different sorts of delicious Australian wines and get a real hands on experience, learning from professionals.

There are so many different activities to choose from, for the couple on a relaxed vacation, to a family looking for some fun! Try out some grape stomping, take a 2 hour cooking school with an expert chef, or take an off-road Segway tour and see the absolutely beautiful scenery the Hunter Valley has to offer – maybe even spot a local kangaroo or 3! You can head just across the road and stop in at the Binnorie Dairy Cheese Factory– one of the best cheese factories in the Hunter.

This stunning region is home to a number of world class golf courses. One worth a mention is the Cypress Lakes and Greg Norman’s Vintage golf course, an 18 hole trophy golf course ranked as one of the top resort courses in Australia. If you are more of the adventurous type, get a thrill out of skydiving over the valley, with absolutely breathtaking views of the beauty bellow. Not into jumping out of a plane? No worries! Hot air ballooning provides another excellent way to view this astonishing valley from above.

Days 3 to 4 - Free Days to Explore Hunter Valley

Free day to rest, relax or explore Hunter Valley

Hunter Valley Wine Country is a two hour drive North of Sydney. Set against the dramatic backdrop of the Brokenback Range, the area now yields more than a hundred and forty wineries and cellar doors, embracing areas such as Pokolbin, Rothbury, Broke Fordwich, Lovedale, Wollombi Valley and Mount View.

If you are hunting for something new to do, you may wish to experience a glorious sunrise from a hot air balloon, horse ride through a vineyard, browse through galleries and antique shops, or see the Valley by horse and carriage, bicycle or even limousine!

The Hunter Valley is known for its award winning wines; however the valley now supports a burgeoning olive industry with cold pressed olive oil and other olive products. You will also find wood fired bread, delicious Hunter Cheeses, stone fruits, table grapes, honey, home made condiments and sauces, and even chocolate made with chilli.

Today you will explore this historic region famous for its world class wine on your very own Segway!

Nestled next to the Brocken Back mountain Range and overlooking the scenic views of the McGuigan’s vineyard this adventure starts off with one on one instruction and training by a qualified Segway guide.

After everyone is comfortable riding the Segway the tour heads off travelling along the off road tracks and trails of the 1880’s Stock Route that intersects the Hunter Resort property. Built by Australia’s first settlers and convicts, you will encounter scores of kangaroos, possible foxes or hares and even the odd wombat or Goanna – all seen on past tours. The tour then ventures through the world renowned McGuigan vineyard, plus past the Hunter Valley Bottling Company on the way home. Here you get to appreciate the grapes in their natural state and then the finished product. This one hour tour + training ticks all the boxes incorporating beautiful scenery, historic facts of the region from its past to the present. Riding the latest technology in Segway personal transporters, this adventure is ideal for all ages from 11, all fitness levels and gender. Get acquainted with your surroundings on a one hour ride, available on the hour between 8am and 5pm.

The tour runs from the base of the spectacular Broken Back Ranges of Pokolbin in the heart of Hunter Valley Wine Country. Trail rides suit the timid beginner through to the seasoned rider. Children must be at least 8 years old.

The Blue Mountains Deluxe Day is a real journey into the heart of a unique World Heritage Region. From temperate rainforests to towering sandstone escarpments, you’ll see and experience it all. Let the landscape work its wonders and become part of you for a lifetime.

Upon departing from the city, you will travel directly to the Blue Mountains and your first stop of the day is at Calmsley Hill Farm a working farm also home to Kangaroo, Emu, Wombat and Koala. Enjoy morning tea and time to wander at leisure.

From Calmsley Hill you will continue to ascend the Blue Mountains via the highway. Visit one of a range of stunning outlooks of the Jamison Valley seeing beautiful vistas. Where possible this will be away from the crowds of tours that visit the mountains each day with other operators, thus you will have the opportunity to enjoy a stress and hurry free environment taking in the views and information imparted by your guide.

Continuing on you will arrive at Eaglehawk Lookout, a remote lookout points away from the crowds for views of the famous 3 Sisters. Whilst the Blue Mountains features so much more than this natural attraction you can’t help but admire the unquestionable beauty of this amazing rock formation. The character of the Three Sisters changes throughout the day and throughout the seasons as the sunlight brings out the magnificent colors. Here your guide will discuss the legends behind this famous rock formation and time available for you to take some great photos.

Next you will be taken around the mountain towards the village of Blackheath and our lunch venue the Boiler House Cafe. Here in this relaxed venue with stunning views, you can enjoy a 2-course lunch with tea or coffee. All diets are catered for (excluding Kosher Meals). Please note that beverages can be purchased at your own expense from the Bar.

The afternoon is spent visiting a selection of lookouts. Once you clap your eyes on the view from Govetts Leap you’ll know why it’s one of the most famous lookouts in Australia. The magnificent waterfall drops a whopping 180m to the base of the cliff. If you’re not mesmerized by the dancing waves of water spray, you’ll be transfixed by the sweeping views down the valley to the Grose Wilderness.

Then take a brief stop to enjoy a glass of sparkling wine or orange juice at the delightful Mt Tomah Botanic Gardens, where you can enjoy the sweeping views across to Sydney before traveling down the Bells Line of Road to arrive back at your hotel approximately 4:30pm.

This is an in-the-wild experience, traveling to private farmland and swathes of quintessential, pristine Australian Bushland in the Southern Highlands, just 90 minutes south of Sydney.

Your small group, maximum 10, will travel in a luxury 4WD equipped for great wildlife-viewing with a specialist Naturalist Guide to interpret all. Walk through towering forests of Grey Gums in search of koalas, look for platypus in the rivers, and drive through woodlands & pastures as mobs of kangaroos and emus feed.

After dinner, a night-spotting foray lets you see nocturnal wombats, gliders and possums. We follow Nature’s guidelines, seeking out the animals when they’re most active, with a noon to evening tour that includes a light lunch (winter months) or afternoon tea (summer months) and hearty country-style dinner in one of Australia’s oldest country inns.
