Sunrise/Morning
The early rise is well worth it as you experience the two major landmarks in Uluru-Kata Tjuta National Park.

Start with an amazing sunrise at Talinguru Nyakunytjaku, the Uluru sunrise viewing area. Afterwards, on the 45 kms drive to Kata Tjuta your Driver Guide will provide you with an historical overview of the National Park.

The walk through the sheer walls of Walpa Gorge won’t disappoint as you’re led into a world of rare plant species and lush evergreen scrubs.

Sunset/Afternoon
Talk a short walk at the base of Uluru with your Driver Guide and view ancient paintings and hear stories of traditional Anangu life.

Then head off to the Uluru sunset viewing area. On arrival you’ll be served from a selection of Australian wines and nibbles.

You can just sit and relax or stroll around the area to find your own personal space to watch an amazing outback sunset.

Sounds of Silence Dinner* (Dinner) [SOS]

This dining experience offers the best of the Red Centre distilled into four magical hours under the sparkling outback sky.

You will begin with canapes and chilled sparkling wine upon a dune-top overlooking the Ulutu-Kata Tjuta National Park. As the sun sets and darkness falls, listen to the sound of a didgeridoo and join your table of fellow travelers for an unforgettable dining experience.

Your attentive staff will offer a selection of Australian wine and beer while the first course is served at your table. As the night sky twinkles to life, you will be welcomed to an interactive chef’s station where you will be served your choice from a freshly prepared, bush tucker inspired menu incorporating native bush ingredients.

Settle back and listen to the resident star-talker decode the southern night sky. Locate the Southern Cross, the signs of the zodiac, the Milky Way, as well as planets and galaxies that are visible due to the exceptional clarity of the atmosphere.

Morning Tour:

Departing the resort, travel through the desert landscape to the mighty rock formations of Uluru-Kata Tjuta National Park. On arrival at the viewing area, walk to the best vantage point for an uninterrupted view of the sun’s morning glow as the desert comes alive. Enjoy an outback picnic breakfast at either location.
If choosing to visit Uluru, walk the 12-kilometer trail around the base to embrace the culture, geology and environment that is the essence of this amazing monolith with time out to listen to the variety of desert noises
If choosing to visit Kata Tjuta, take a stroll between the mighty conglomerate rock walls as your guide explains how the environment and the geology evolved over millions of years.

Evening Tour
Travel through Outback landscape to the entrance of Uluru Kata Tjuta National Park to the mighty rock formation – Kata Tjuta, 650 feet higher than Uluru.
An often-understated facet of Uluru-Kata Tjuta National Park when compared with its famous neighbor, The Olgas are thought to have been one huge piece of rock, much like Uluru, that has weathered over millions of years. Your guide will reveal the many attributes of this diverse environment and describe the cultural significance of Kata Tjuta as a sacred Aboriginal men’s ceremonial site.
Arriving at Walpa Gorge you will walk between the mighty conglomerate domes and hear how these domes have evolved over millions of years.
Take time to listen to the wind (Walpa) far above and view the scale of the rock walls that surround you. The spirituality of this amazing location embraces everyone who ventures here.
Your guide will return you to your hotel in time for those joining any of the resort’s evening dining experiences such as Sounds of Silence, Field of Light Dinner or Tali Wiru.

Please wear comfortable outdoor clothing. Tour is not recommended for children under 5 years of age. Infants aged from 0-4 years travel free of charge but are subject to a AUD$60.00 fee for a car seat to be supplied and fitted by SEIT Outback Australia. Children aged from 0-7 years are required by NT Government Regulations to travel in a car seat. Car seats are included in the child touring rate for children aged 5-7 years. Small Group Pass- Uluru and Kata Tjuta (2 Half Days - 2 Day Option) [SEIT 2]

See the highlights of Uluru and Kata Tjuta on an intimate, two day small group tour.

Day 1 – Uluru Evening Tour Come and join a small-group Outback Australia tour to explore Uluru, the most profound and culturally significant monolith in Australia. Departing your resort, the tour will travel through the landscapes to the entrance of the Uluru Kata Tjuta National Park. From this point it is only a matter of minutes before the specter of Uluru rises from the sand dunes to demonstrate its enormity and presence in this country .

Your first stop allows you a photographic opportunity of this amazing icon. With Uluru looming in front of you, your guide will journey toward the base. Walk with your guide to a place of tranquility. The closer you wander the more you surrender to the realization of the sheer size of this monolith.

As you drive around the base, your guide will take you to the entrance of Mutitjulu Waterhole, a semi-permanent watercourse nestled in the contours of Uluru. Here you will learn the Creation stories of Liru (poisonous snake) and Kuniya (python) as well as a number of other stories associated with other prominent Tjukurpa (Dreaming) stories.

You will see the rock art of the ancients and learn how Uluru was, and still is, a significant location for teaching young Aboriginal people. We then adjourn to the new Talinguru Nyakunytjaku viewing area ,where you will observe an uninterrupted view of Uluru with Kata Tjuta in the background. Your guide will then return to your accommodation at Ayers Rock Resort.

Day 2 – Kata Tjuta Morning Tour Revel in the early morning serenity of a truly spiritual place as the sunrise colors change on Kata Tjuta. Departing the resort, the tour will travel through the landscape to the entrance of Uluru Kata Tjuta National Park. From there is it a 24mi journey through the desert landscape to the mighty rock formation.

On arrival at the viewing area, you walk to the best vantage point to see the 36 domes that comprise Kata Tjuta while watching the sun’s morning glow as the desert comes alive. You’ll make your way to the western side of Kata Tjuta where you will have the opportunity to relax and enjoy an outback picnic breakfast.

As you approach the entrance to Walpa Gorge, named for the wind (Walpa) that whistles between the massive domes of Kata Tjuta, your guide will share the significance of this men’s sacred ceremonial site. Take a stroll between these mighty conglomerate rock walls as your guide explains how the environment and the geology has evolved over millions of years. Your guide will then return to your accommodation.

Operates All year round, per request. Morning tours depart at 6:15am and afternoon tours depart at 2pm. Morning and afternoon tours last approximately 5 hours each.

Need to Know National park entry fees are not included. Minimum of 2 people required for tour departure. Maximum of 11 people per tour. Moderate level of fitness required. Not recommended for children under 5 years of age.

A peaceful 1-hour camel ride over the rich red sand dunes in the cool, clear morning air. Witness the sunrise over Uluru and Kata Tjuta. Watch the desert come to life as your friendly and knowledgeable cameleers tell you about the flora and fauna along the trail.

A photographers delight as you pause on a remote lookout. After your ride, enjoy a light breakfast of freshly baked beer bread damper with Australian jams, tea, and coffee.

Take in spectacular views of the everchanging reds and oranges of Uluru as the sun begins to set.

This sunset ride departs in the fading afternoon light, arriving at Uluru to watch its color changes. You will return to the Camel Depot for a glass of champagne, soft drinks and some tasty snacks. While you’re there don’t forget to grab some souvenirs from the Camel Shop!
