Historic Overview
As you enjoy the view, your experienced Driver Guide will give you an overview of the fascinating history of Uluru – Kata Tjuta National Park. The Aboriginal people have lived in the area for 22,000 years, so there’s plenty of history to cover.
Panoramic Views from Viewing Platform
Just 40 kilometres to the west of the iconic Uluru, we’ll take in the sites of Kata Tjuta, also known as the Olgas. When you stop at a viewing platform that boasts the most spectacular views of Kata Tjuta, be sure to have your camera at the ready.
Walpa Gorge Walk
Walpa (meaning windy) Gorge is a lush desert haven for plants and animals. The gentle but rocky track will lead you into a world of rare plant species and lush evergreen shrubs known as Spearwood. The Walpa Gorge Walk takes around one hour and here you’ll have time to explore at your own pace and take many memorable photographs.
Wine and Nibbles
After the Walpa Gorge Walk, you’ll head off to the Uluru Sunset Viewing Area. En route, you may see some dromedary camels casually strolling through the park. On arrival at the Sunset Viewing Area, you’ll be served from a selection of Australian wines and nibbles while you absorb the enormity and beauty of your surroundings. You can just sit and relax or stroll around the area to find your own personal space to watch an amazing Red Centre sunset.
Uluru (Ayers Rock)
Arguably Australia’s most recognisable and fascinating icon, Uluru (Ayers Rock) stands 348 metres high, however, most of its mass is below ground level. You’ll be overwhelmed by its monolithic size, presence and inherent spirituality.

As the sun sets over the western horizon, you’ll be witness to the majestic presence and many shades of colour for which Uluru is most famous. Be sure to have your Driver Guide take a photo of you with Uluru – although they say that the memory will stay with you forever!
Day 2: Today you’ll rise early and travel to Talinguru Nyakunytjaku – the Uluru Sunrise Viewing area.

You’ll have an incredible view through stunning desert landscape as the sun rises over Uluru and Kata Tjuta. From the viewing platform it is possible to see way into the distance, providing an ideal photo opportunity.
Uluru Base Tour
Once you’ve experienced the amazing sunrise over Uluru and enjoyed a relaxing morning tea, you’ll head towards the base of Uluru. Your experienced Driver Guide will join you on a tour around the base of Uluru and give you details on its geology and incredible history. You’ll be fascinated by the Aboriginal stories that go back many thousands of years.
Mutitjulu Waterhole Walk
The Mutitjulu Waterhole is a valuable source of water for the Aboriginal people in the area. Here you’ll see wonderful Aboriginal rock paintings and learn about the Aboriginal and European history of Uluru.
Uluru – Kata Tjuta Cultural Centre
The Anangu people are the traditional custodians of Uluru and you’ll be introduced to their way of life. See a vast array of ceramics, paintings and woodwork that provide an insight into the unique and spiritual culture of the Anangu people.

Experience the Aussie bush and rainforest by horse. There is something therapeutic about exploring the natural environment on horseback. Escape the everyday as we ride between two natural wonders of the world – the pristine Daintree Rainforest on one side and the Great Barrier Reef on the other.
Locally owned and operated horse trail rides in one of the world’s most scenic settings. For 2 ½ hours, you can choose to walk, trot or canter along the golden sands and through the water followed by a gentle ride through the stunning Daintree rainforest and a tropical fruit orchard. There are two sessions a day – 8.30am for the early risers or 2.30pm for those who want to ride into the sunset! Morning ride departs @ 8.30am and returns @ 11.30am; Afternoon ride departs @ 2.30pm and returns @ 5.30pm.
The rides can be enjoyed by all whether you are a beginner or skilled rider with our team ensuring all are partnered with a horse that suitably reflects their riding ability.
Maximum group size is 15 and we follow a ratio of one guide to every six riders. Once at the beach the group is broken up into smaller groups according to levels of riding experience. This is to ensure that the experienced riders are given the freedom to go for a really good canter along the beach and the beginner riders are given guidance to make their riding experience as enjoyable as possible.
We supply water bottles on the ride and an assortment of soft drinks on your return.
Please wear jeans or long pants, a t-shirt or polo shirt (no singlets) and bring along a pair of socks as we provide riding boots and helmets. Boots, helmets and suitable clothing (if required) are provided on arrival and everyone undertakes a short lesson in horsemanship before getting underway!

Spend the day in Tropical Queensland’s World Heritage Daintree Rainforest. Visit a wildlife sanctuary and zipline through the rainforest.
Begin the day by visiting the Rainforest Habitat Wildlife Santuary. See the endagered cassowary and other wildlife. Have your picture taken with a koala, snake, or crocodile (extra cost). After cuddling up with some animals, cross the Daintree River and venture to Alexandra Lookout for magnificent views of the Daintree River and Coral Sea.
After crossing the Daintree River by cable ferry, arrive at Cape Tribulation and enjoy lunch before embarking on a fantastic adventure called Jungle Surfing. Set in the pristine Daintree rainforest at Cape Tribulation, Jungle Surfing takes you on a unique rainforest tour where your feet don’t touch the ground. Fly through the trees on flying fox ziplines, stopping at tree platforms to take in spectacular bird’s eye views over the treetops. Highly trained abseiling masters and scientist guides will make sure your adventure is exciting, educational, and safe.
After the fun of Jungle Surfing, unwind during a visit to Myall Beach where you will have free time to explore before returning to Port Douglas.

Brisbane is a vibrant city with many activities and sights to enjoy all within walking distance from your hotel. Enjoy the shops and festivities at Southbank Parklands (World Expo 1988 was held here) and see Kodak Beach, a large man-made inland beach/pool surrounded by real beach sand, ferns and palm trees. Also experience a living rainforest complete with wildlife in the Southbank Wildlife Sanctuary. Wander the board-walks that follow the river through the city, walk past Kangaroo Point cliffs (watch people rock climb). Ride on a ferry (CityCat) and tour the city from the river (day or night). Travel along the Glasshouse Mountains scenic route 2 hours North of Brisbane to the Wildlife Park of the famous Crocodile Hunter (Steve Irwin) at the Australia Zoo.
You will be taken directly to and from the Wildlife Park and have nearly 6 hours to experience the best of the zoo. Take in the many daily shows and demonstrations where you can see exciting snakes, birds and crocodiles in action! The “Call of the Wild” experience leads you to Steve’s home and over 1,000 animals that you would only expect to see in the wilds of Australia. Experience a truly remarkable day as you watch a demonstration featuring wild crocodiles. Meet Amelia, the Wedged-Tailed Eagle and other birds of prey. Watch the small clawed otters frolic and Harriet, the world’s oldest giant Galapagos land tortoise, as they feed. Encounter cuddly koalas close up and join in the feeding of the kangaroos, wallabies and elephants. This is a day to experience the pleasures of the wild and watch very experienced professional handlers get close to extremely dangerous creatures. Don’t miss the opportunity to take a photo with a snake at the Croc Hunter Museum or see the wild caught croc demo. Keep your eyes out for handlers walking through the park with the animals so you can get “up close and personal”.
