Day 1: Welcome to Melbourne

Get to know your Travel Director and fellow travelers this evening at a Welcome Reception and dinner on board Melbourne’s famous Colonial Tramcar Restaurant.

Day 2: Melbourne

Explore Melbourne on a city sights tour this morning, then discover its gracious arcades, eclectic laneways and vibrant street art on a private walking tour. The rest of the day is at your leisure.

Day 3: Melbourne – Cairns

Depart Melbourne by air this morning for Cairns, where you’ll join a local expert for a wildlife journey at Hartley’s Crocodile Adventures. Enjoy a cruise where you’re sure to encounter koalas, wallabies and crocodiles.

Day 4: Great Barrier Reef

Board a high-speed catamaran today and cruise out to the iconic Great Barrier Reef. You’ll have the opportunity to go snorkeling (equipment provided), or view the spectacular coral and tropical fish from the underwater observatory and semi-submersible craft. Enjoy a tropical buffet lunch on board before you return to Cairns.

Day 5: Cairns

Today is free for you to pursue your own interests in this vibrant tropical city, or you may choose to visit Kuranda, ‘The Village in the Rainforest’. This evening be prepared for a special Be My Guest dinner at Tjapukai Aboriginal Cultural Park. Experience a personal Welcome to Country ceremony, hear stories of the Dreamtime, witness an entertaining high impact performance by the indigenous dance group and enjoy dinner accompanied by the sounds of the didgeridoo.

Day 6: Cairns – Sydney

This morning you’ll fly to Sydney, where you’ll have time to relax or explore before boarding before boarding a Captain Cook vessel for a Sunset Dinner Cruise. Glide past magnificent waterfront homes, and of course the legendary Harbour Bridge and Sydney Opera House.

Day 7: Sydney

Enjoy a tour of the Sydney Opera House then head to Bondi Beach for lunch at an Australian institution, the Returned Servicemen’s Club. Your host, a local surf lifesaver, will lead you on an exclusive tour through Australia’s oldest lifesaving club. Your afternoon is free for exploring or shopping, enjoying an optional excursion, or maybe just taking a stroll along the Harbour front.

Day 8: Sydney

Spend today as you please. Perhaps see the famous Three Sisters rock formation in the majestic Blue Mountains just outside the city or visit Featherdale Wildlife Park. This evening join your Travel Director for dinner in a restaurant on the waterfront.

Day 9: Sydney – Auckland – Queenstown

Fly across the Tasman Sea this morning to the island nation of New Zealand. You’ll get a feel for Queenstown and surrounds on an orientation tour. See Lake Wakatipu, the Remarkables mountain range and the home of the Bungy Jump at Kawarau Bridge. This evening dinner is at The Boatshed, set in the historic New Zealand Railways Shipping Office built in 1936. Restored and relocated to its lakefront setting, The Boatshed, with its spectacular views of Lake Wakatipu and the Remarkables mountain range, is the perfect setting for your highlight dinner with wine.

Day 10: Queenstown

You have a free day to do as you choose in New Zealand’s adventure capital. Why not take an optional experience to breathtaking Milford Sound for a cruise on the majestic fiord.

Today’s your last chance to soak up the atmosphere in New Zealand’s adventure capital. You could ride the Shotover Jet boat, tempt your tastebuds on a tour of the region’s popular wineries, take a 4WD mini bus excursion through Skippers Canyon, play a round of golf or just explore Queenstown on your own.

Day 12: Queenstown – Rotorua

This morning, travel to the delightful gold rush village of Arrowtown, on the sparkling Arrow River, once one of the world’s richest rivers. Later, you’ll fly from Queenstown to Rotorua. This evening join your traveling companions for a memorable Be My Guest dinner. Experience the heart-pounding wero (challenge) from a Maori warrior during a Powhiri, a ceremonial welcome, at the Tamaki Family Marae. Journey into the village and gain an insight into life in New Zealand before European settlement. Feast on succulent meats and vegetables cooked in a hangi, the traditional Maori method of cooking in the earth.

Day 13: Rotorua

This morning a local Maori guide will accompany you around the Whakarewarewa Living Thermal Village. See New Zealand’s biggest geyser, bubbling mud pools and thermal springs. Your next stop is Rainbow Springs Nature Park for a tour with a local guide. You may even spot a kiwi! Then visit the Agrodome Farm Show, the multi award-winning stage show, for a taste of farm life.

Day 14: Rotorua – Auckland

Travel to the Waitomo Caves to see the incredible Glowworm Grotto and Limestone Caves with a local guide. Glide silently through the subterranean cavern lit by thousands of tiny glowworms. Later, on arrival in Auckland you’ll see the sights on a city tour. This evening join your Travel Director and new-found friends for a farewell dinner at ‘Eight’ at The Langham. Your personal degustation is prepared for you from the freshest, quality ingredients including mouth-watering seafood and delicious desserts.
