Be sure to see the world’s largest display of Aboriginal culture and artifacts in the South Australian Museum and Tandanya (National Aboriginal Cultural Institute).

As a visitor to Tandanya, you can meet Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples, walk through diverse and exciting exhibitions in the art galleries, watch a cultural presentation and yidaki (didgeridoo) or dance performance (Tuesday – Sunday at 12pm) and browse in the colourful award winning shop. South Australia’s capital city, Adelaide, is a cosmopolitan city with a blend of European and modern architecture, offering a wealth of experiences including great food and wine, arts and culture, and world-class sporting events. This tour is an ideal introduction to see the best of Adelaide and learn more about its history on a friendly and relaxed tour.

In the morning, board your coach for your tour. Your guide will introduce you to this delightful city, which is surrounded by parklands with a blend of historic buildings, wide streets, cafés and restaurants. Your morning will include a drive past Adelaide’s cultural precinct – North Terrace, Adelaide Botanic Gardens and the beautiful Botanic Park, home to the Bicentennial Conservatory and the Adelaide Zoo. National Wine Centre in Adelaide

The Wine Discovery Journey is a state-of-the-art, award-winning interactive wine experience. This outstanding Australian wine industry showcase examines everything from the challenges of winemaking to the pure enjoyment of drinking fine Australian wine. The exhibition is where visitors come to understand the role wine has played in history, recognise the position of Australian wine in today’s international market and appreciate the relationship between food and wine.

The open cellar is one of the largest in the Southern Hemisphere with the capacity to store up to 38,000 bottles at any one time. Approximately 12,000 bottles of Australian wine is cellared year round. All wines are used in function packages, consumed in the Concourse Cafe and sold to visitors.

The Wine Discovery Journey, located on level one, is a free interactive experience to be enjoyed at your leisure. Complimentary Self Guided Tour brochures can be collected from reception. Free hosted daily tours leave reception at 11.30am daily, and guided group tours can be booked – subject to availability.

Optional Day Tour (Not Included) - Grand Barossa and Hahndorf Hills Tour

Enjoy morning tea and wine tasting at award-winning Jacob’s Creek Visitor Centre, lunch at the South Australian Company Store in Angaston and taste more wines at Saltram Wine Estate.

Travel through the city of Adelaide northwards to the world-renowned Barossa wine region. Enjoy the change of scenery as you make your way into the vineyards of South Australia’s premium wine district. Your first stop is at the multi-award-winning Jacob’s Creek Visitor Centre where you will have the opportunity to sample their famous wines in a structured tasting, be taken on a tour of the surrounding vines and cellar door then enjoy morning tea as you overlook the vineyards. Leaving Jacob’s Creek Visitor Centre, travel to Mengler Hill Lookout for sweeping views over the valley and then onto Lambert Estate in Angaston for wine tasting and a 2-course lunch. Leaving the Barossa, drive past the Herbig Family Tree at Springton. This hollow tree trunk provided a ‘home’ for Friedrich & Caroline Herbig and two of their 16 children until 1860. Travel to the picturesque Adelaide Hills and on arrival into Hahndorf (Adelaide’s oldest German settlement) and visit Beerenberg Farm Shop where you can read about the story of how Beerenberg began and the history of Hahndorf. You will also have time to explore the entire range of products in the Farm Shop, plus a selection of souvenirs and gifts. After Beerenberg you will have time to walk Hahndorf’s main street with many shops and galleries full of local arts, crafts and produce and pubs where you can sample some German Beers.

Relax on this lunch-time cruise along the historic Murray River. Gain an insight into this unique river system with its magnificent landscapes and spectacular cliffs. Then travel alongside the Murray River in your coach, taking in the spectacular views and stopping regularly for great photo opportunities. On the return journey, visit Melba’s Chocolate Factory and Woodside Cheese Wrights at Woodside.

Your tour departs Adelaide and travels to the mighty Murray River. On your arrival, board the MV Proud Mary and relax as you cruise the historic river enjoying the wildlife and surrounding scenery. Enjoy lunch on board the Proud Mary as you continue your journey along the river and gain insight into the river system and unique landscapes of the region.
Upon disembarking, enjoy a tour along the riverbank of the Murray River taking in spectacular views and stopping regularly for great photo opportunities, including the Mannum Lookout.

Your day begins at the Adelaide bus terminal for a scenic coach trip down through the Fleurieu Peninsula to Cape Jervis.

You’ll then board SeaLink’s fast and comfortable ferry for the 45 minute crossing to Kangaroo Island (KI). On arrival, settle back in the comfort of your SeaLink coach and let the scenery slide past on your way to Seal Bay where you will enjoy a beach walk among a breeding colony of Australian sea-lions.
