Phillip Island is home to an astounding array of wildlife, including Australia’s largest fur seal colony, the little penguins and cuddly koalas. Enjoy getting close to koalas and kangaroos before joining the little penguins at dusk, as they emerge from the surf and waddle to their burrows.
Get up close and personal with the friendly residents of Moonlit Sanctuary Wildlife Conservation Park, where you learn about the conservation of these loveable native animals. The eco certified sanctuary also showcases some lesser known but equally adorable endangered species including the Southern Bettong, Eastern Quolls and rare Fluffy Gliders. From there travel to Phillip Island where you see the Nobbies, and Seal Rocks before travelling on to Summerland beach for the nightly penguin parade. Home to Victoria’s largest colony of little penguins, Summerland beach provides a spectacular backdrop to the world famous penguin parade. Watch as hundreds of little penguins make their way across the beach and go home for the night. Come and enjoy the beauty and native wildlife and make this a journey to remember. Tour conclusion depends on time of year and ranges from 10pm during the winter months to midnight during summer as the penguins arrive at sunset.

Great Ocean Road Self-Drive Tour from Melbourne, Victoria, through to Adelaide, South Australia.
DAY 1: GREAT OCEAN ROAD SELF DRIVE TOUR
Today start your self drive tour of the Great Ocean Road. Pass through Geelong and maybe stop at Torquay for refreshments. Enjoy views of sweeping beaches, sleepy coastal resorts and spectacular cliffsides as you wind along the coastline road. Stop at Apollo Bay for your overnight accommodation with the afternoon at leisure.
Insider’s Tip: Geelong & Great Ocean Road Information Centre – There are 12 Accreditied Visitor Information Centres along Great Ocean Road. The Geelong Centre (on the outskirts of town on Princess Highway) is a great place to stop for everything you need for the GOR region. Stop by to pick up maps, vistors’ guides, magazines or tips from the knowledgeable locals. (All visitor information centres are open 7 days a week from 9am-5pm)
DAY 2: THE GREAT OCEAN ROAD.
Continue along the road to Otway National Park, an abundance of ferns and mosses dwarfed by giant gum trees. Continue towards Port Campbell National Park. View the famous Twelve Apostles and Loch Ard. Stop in Port Campbell for refreshments and continue to the remnants of London Bridge. Continue on to Portland and stay overnight in Mount Gambier (South Australia). View Mt Gambier’s Blue Lake, famous for its vivid blue colour during summer months.
DAY 3: THE RIVERLAND
From Mt Gambier continue onto Tailem Bend and see Old Tailem Town a re-creation of a pioneer village with many old buildings. Continue to Murray Bridge and drive across the Might Murray River. You may like to spend the night here in the Riverland at (or near) Murray Bridge. This town is South Australia’s largest riverside town with a population of 13,500. It’s a popular place for fishing, waterskiing and outdoor riverside barbecues. Maybe take a lunchtime river cruise and explore the Murray on the MV Barrangul or PS Captain Proud, check at the local tourist office on South Terrace for times. Overnight.
DAY 4: ADELAIDE
Continue to Adelaide through Mt Barker and the Adelaide Hills. While in the Adelaide Hills you may like to see Hahndorf a quaint old German-style town that has shady main street housing a delightful assortment of art and craft shops. In Adelaide maybe do a city tour and revel in the beauty of Adelaide (the city of Churches). In the evenings, enjoy some of the terrific restaurants, Rundle Street or maybe a theatre show at the Festival Theatre. During the day maybe see Waterfall Gulley, Glenelg (seaside shops and amusements) or take a day tour to the Barossa or McLaren Vale, Australia’s premier wine producing regions.

Your vacation accommodation in Mt. Gambier is located on the slopes of an extinct volcano, covered with craters. One of the craters is home to a lake for water skiing, picnicking and wildlife walks. If you are a diver, take the opportunity to dive Engelbrecht Cave – one of the many caves beneath the streets of Mt. Gambier but the only one accessible by divers. Take the time to visit beautiful Blue Lake, a lake that changes colour each year. Or stop by Umpherston Sinkhole. Once a cave formed by limestone, this sinkhole was created when the top of the chamber collapsed; creating an environment for a sunken garden. If you are up for it, walk to the Centenary Tower; opened in 1904 to commemorate the first sighting of Mt. Gambier in 1800. You will have magnificent views of the Crater Lakes, the city and a coastal outlook (Small Entrance Fee Applies).

Situated on the Fleurieu Peninsula, Victor Harbor offers a bit of it all. From here you can experience coastal wildlife, sea views, relaxing strolls and adventure. When entering Victor Harbor be sure to look for the Bluff summit. The Bluff summit was created when granite formed by magma squeezed up from the deep in the continental crust about 500 million years ago. (The views from the summit are amazing but there is a 500m climb requiring a moderate level of fitness.) Try to find the time for a ride on the Clydesdale horse tram. This tram crosses a 600m wooden causeway to Granite Island, home to a colony of little penguins and the 2.9km Kaiki Trail. On your crossing be sure to look for schools of fish swimming around & under the causeway and for dolphins, seals and whales on the horizon. Return tickets on the tram are $7.00 per adult AUD (subject to change).

Need to Know
If intending to snorkel, passengers are required to complete a Medical Declaration for Snorkelers form (available upon booking) which will assist the tour crew to identify passengers who are either AT RISK and require additional supervision or passengers who are HIGH RISK and not suitable to participate in the activity of snorkeling due to a combination of factors i.e. Age, Physical health, swimming ability, mobility. If guests are unsure if they may be HIGH RISK and not suitable to snorkel, then we suggest a recent medical certificate would be acceptable if they are a capable swimmer.
If a passenger is identified as a HIGH RISK snorkeler they will not be permitted to snorkel.
Identifying a High Risk Snorkeler
To identify a HIGH RISK SNORKELER the passenger would have a COMBINATION of the following risks:
– Age – any person over 70 years old
– Medical history – any person with health issues identified particularly heart issues, epilepsy, overweight, limited mobility (i.e. unable to put on fins and safely use the ladders)
– Swimming ability – any person with the above who has not swum in the ocean recently
– Communication difficulty – Passenger not understanding safety briefings
– Non-Swimmer / Poor swimmer
Crew reserves the right to decline any passenger from participating in snorkeling if there is a concern about the health condition and/or swimming ability of a passenger for the safety and well-being of all guests onboard.
